For three weeks, we worked inside a church cupola and helped paint ornamentation around iconography. Learning alongside three master painters, we were able to paint at quite a height and in numerous awkward angles. Working 6-8 hours a day, it became a practice of diligence, discipline, and patience. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience that changed how we view sacred art.
Working over 20 feet off the ground, each day entailed both physical and mental exhaustion. For with each new line, a new lesson learned.
